HOW DOES IT WORK?

On the 15th of each month, the Musician’s Referral Service provides a listing of available musicians to thousands of potential employers of musicians via this internet site, email, telephone and regular mail. The referral service operates in every possible way to secure employment for it’s musicians.

With the popularity and accessability of the internet the necessity for the printed listing has become somewhat obsolete, but  we still snail mail, email and fax the printed listing when requested or necessary to get your name in front of employers.  Since we have been around since 1986, most everyone in the music business knows we exist and check our listings on the internet or call our office for a listing when they need a musician or singer.  Employers in the past have included all the major venues in Nashville, TN; Branson, MO; Myrtle Beach, SC; the Smoky Mountain area of East Tennessee and other areas. We have even had musicians employed by Euro Disney in Paris, France.  There is probably not an agent, manager or publicist of a major artist that doesn't know about us, and as a result we have placed musicians with some of the top acts in country music.  We also get calls from road bands, music stores, night clubs, associations and just about any other possible employer you can imagine.

The web site at www.dickmcvey.com offers free and immediate access to people looking for musicians and singers and  your name, contact information and a brief ad describing yourself and the type of job you are looking for is at their fingertips.   The site also contains information about Dick McVey and the other services he offers in Nashville since moving here to Nashville in 1982.

If you’re not ready for the big time, there are jobs available for the beginner musician looking for his or her first garage band; for the “weekend warrior” with a day job who needs extra income or just misses playing; or the musician who wants to get those short term or one night fill in gigs. For the musician who wants to travel, we have placed literally hundreds of musicians with road bands, house bands and local gigs.

Please keep in mind that just one call per month more than pays for the service. All fees include your name and number available on the  the website or a printed list is available to anyone who contacts our office.  We can now take your credit card and application information via phone - give us a call at 615-714-3637.

The annual fee of $125.00 covers all services for a full year. You’ll never miss a call this way and you’ll save $60 over choosing the monthly pay plan.

If you prefer to pay month-to-month,  there is a one-time application fee of $ 20.00 plus a $ 15.00 monthly fee. Total for the first month is $35 and then only $15 a month or 49 cents per day.
